Faceless Persona FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I equip the disguise mask?
Place the disguise mask in your helmet slot or in a supported accessory head slot if your mod setup includes one. Once equipped, the mask is active and ready to use—you'll need to select a disguise form next.
Do I actually become the mob I'm disguised as?
No, the disguise is purely visual. Your health, hitbox, reach, speed, and size stay exactly the same—only your appearance changes as a hologram projected over your character.
What's act mode and when should I use it?
Act mode makes you mimic the sounds, footsteps, movements, and head tracking of your chosen disguise form. Use it around alert mobs to avoid raising their suspicion meter, especially if you're standing near them or acting out of character.
How do I stop mobs from detecting me?
Keep your distance from smart mobs, or activate act mode to match their behavior and movements. If a suspicion meter starts building over a mob's head, you're acting too out of character—adjust your behavior or move away.
Can I hide my armor under the disguise?
Yes, the mod lets you fake your armor visuals across all four armor slots, so you can hide high-tier gear under a basic appearance while keeping the actual protection.
What does middle clicking do?
Middle clicking an object or entity locks your holographic head tracking directly onto that target, making your disguise's head follow them instead of moving naturally.
Does this work with mobs from other mods?
Yes, the mod works automatically with mobs from other mods right out of the box without needing extra configuration.
Can I disguise myself as other players?
Yes, you can project the appearance of other players over your character, not just mobs.
Will the disguise slow me down or change how I move?
The disguise doesn't affect your actual movement speed or size. Act mode lets you *mimic* the movement style of your target form visually, but your base speed stays the same.
What happens if I stand still while disguised as a mob?
If you're near alert mobs and not using act mode, their suspicion meter will build up over their heads because you're not behaving like the mob you appear to be.
