Mining Safety Tips

Avoid TNT near valuable tunnels. If you use TNT for mining, do it in expendable areas. Ceiling collapses can destroy carefully planned tunnel systems and trap you underground.

Wear protective gear. The combination of explosion knockback, falling blocks, and screen shake makes underground blasts extremely dangerous. Have full armor and healing items ready.

Clear the blast zone. Before detonating TNT underground, move away from directly above the explosion site. Falling debris can cause significant damage.

Use alternatives carefully. Consider whether traditional mining tools are safer than explosives in your current location. Underground explosions create more hazards than surface detonations.

Plan escape routes. Always know how to exit the area quickly if a ceiling collapse blocks your primary path. Keep multiple exits available when working with explosives underground.
