Experience Bottler FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I craft the Experience Bottler block?
Refer to your mod's crafting guide or JEI/NEI for the exact recipe, as it varies by mod version. Once crafted, place it like any other block and right-click to open its interface.
Can I bottle partial experience or do I have to bottle everything?
You can bottle any amount of your current XP—you don't have to empty your entire bar. Open the Experience Bottler's interface and specify how much experience you want to transfer.
What happens if I die with bottled experience in my inventory?
Bottled Experience items drop like normal items when you die, so you can recover them from your death location without losing the stored XP inside.
Do bottled experience items stack in my inventory?
Bottled Experience items stack like potions, allowing you to carry multiple bottles efficiently and consume them one at a time as needed.
Can I use bottled experience to repair tools or enchant items?
No—bottled experience can only be consumed as a potion to restore your XP bar. For repairs or enchanting, you must drink the bottle first to add the XP back to your level.
Is there a limit to how much experience I can store in one bottle?
Each bottle stores a specific amount of experience; check the mod's documentation or hover over a bottled item to see its capacity and current contents.
Can I trade bottled experience with other players on a multiplayer server?
Yes, Bottled Experience items are tradeable like any other item—drop them or use a chest to exchange them with other players.
Does this mod work with other mods that add experience mechanics?
The Experience Bottler Mod is designed to work with vanilla XP and most mods that don't drastically alter the experience system, but compatibility depends on your specific mod setup.
What's the best way to organize multiple bottled experience items?
Use labeled chests, barrels, or other storage blocks to keep your bottles organized by amount or purpose, or keep a stack in your hotbar for quick access during gameplay.
Can I bottle experience from mobs or only from my own XP bar?
You can only bottle experience that's already in your personal XP bar—the mod doesn't let you directly capture drops from mobs, but you can collect mob drops and then bottle the resulting XP.
