The EMC Assembler acts as both pattern storage and a 
crafting unit for EMC patterns. Right-clicking it with a linked Tome of Alchemical Knowledge (EE3) or Alchemical Tome (ProjectE) adds autocrafting patterns for all EMC recipes in that Tome to your ME network, and right-clicking with an empty hand removes the Tome and its patterns.

EMC Crystals store EMC, and the ME autocrafting system uses them in place of EMC in recipes. They are created using the EMC Condenser, while Dense and Super Dense EMC Crystals are made by the crafting system as needed.

The Alchemical Tome is only available when using ProjectE. To teach it your transmutations, right-click in the air with it; you become its owner and it copies all your transmutation knowledge, updating automatically as you learn new transmutations.
