Use the Ender Compass to Navigate to a Stronghold

Activate the Compass

Once you have your Ender Compass in your inventory, right-click it. The compass will search for the nearest stronghold and its pointer will begin pointing in that direction.

Follow the Pointer

The compass needle works like a regular compass but points toward the stronghold instead of spawn. Travel in the direction the pointer indicates. You can check it periodically by right-clicking again to ensure you're still heading the right way. The pointer will update if you move far enough that a different stronghold becomes closer.

Reach the Stronghold

Keep following the compass until you arrive at the stronghold structure. The compass will guide you across terrain, through caves, and over obstacles. Once you've located the stronghold, you can search for the End Portal Frame blocks and prepare for the dragon fight.

Pro Tip

Carry the compass throughout your journey. It works in any dimension and will always point to the nearest stronghold, making it invaluable for navigation.
