The Core Change

Enchancement removes the vanilla enchanting table and anvil-based enchanting flow. Instead, enchantments are applied through a different system tied to the mod's own mechanics. Before you build anything, understand that you cannot just craft an enchanting table and expect vanilla behavior — the mod replaces that loop entirely.

First Steps

1. Craft the mod's enchanting station (check JEI/REI for the exact recipe in your pack).

2. Gather XP as normal — you still need experience levels to pay for enchantments.

3. Place the station and open it. You will see a list of available enchantments rather than the vanilla three-option roll.

4. Select the enchantment you want and confirm. Costs scale with the enchantment's power tier.

Practical Tips

  • Enchantments in Enchancement are generally stronger but more situational than vanilla. Read each description before spending levels.
  • You can reroll or pick specific enchantments rather than gambling on random rolls, so plan your build around your playstyle (mining, combat, exploration).
  • Keep a stockpile of XP — a mob farm or villager trading setup pays off quickly here.
  • Some enchantments only apply to specific armor slots (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots), so check compatibility before committing.
