How to Use the Enchantment Table Underwater
Why you would want this
The mod lets the enchantment table function while submerged, which is useful for underwater bases, ocean monuments, and any build where you do not want to drain a room just to enchant. You do not need to place the table in air for it to work.
Set it up
Place the enchantment table wherever you want it underwater. Surround it with bookshelves at the normal distance if you want access to higher-tier enchantments — water does not change the bookshelf requirement, so build the shelf ring as you normally would, just submerged. Make sure the table is not blocked by solid blocks on the faces you need for hoppers if you are also automating it.
Enchant while swimming
Open the table and use it exactly as you would on land: place the item, add lapis, read the hints, and click the option you want. The item floats above the table as usual. If you are combining this with hopper automation, remember the top hopper feeds items, the side hopper feeds lapis, and the bottom hopper extracts results — all of these work while the table is underwater, so you can run a submerged enchanting station with a chest line running to a dry area.
Practical tip
Bring a water-breathing method or a conduit, since you will be standing at the table long enough to read hints and pick options.
