How to Automate an Enchantment Table with Hoppers
Understand which side does what
The mod gives each face of the enchantment table a job, so you can build a fully hands-off enchanting line:
- Top hopper — feeds in the item to be enchanted (tools, weapons, armor).
- Side hopper — feeds in lapis lazuli.
- Bottom hopper — pulls the finished, enchanted item out.
Point each hopper the correct direction. A hopper only inserts into the block it faces, so the top hopper must face down into the table, the side hopper must face into the table's side, and the bottom hopper must sit under the table facing away (into a chest or your output line).
Build the loop
Place a chest above feeding the top hopper with items, and a chest beside feeding the side hopper with lapis. Put a chest below to catch results. As long as the table has lapis and an item, it will enchant and push the result down. Note that the table still needs bookshelves around it to reach high enchantment levels — automation does not remove that requirement, so ring the table with shelves at the correct distance before you rely on it.
Keep it fed
Stock enough lapis for the number of items you are processing, since each enchant consumes some. If the line stalls, check that the side hopper still has lapis and that the bottom hopper is not backed up into a full chest.
