Recover Your Drone After Emergency Landing
What Causes Emergency Landing
Your drone automatically performs an emergency landing when its two-minute battery runs out. The machine drops from the sky and lands wherever it happens to be—which can be dangerous if it lands in water, on a mountain peak, or in enemy territory.
Recovery Steps
1. Locate the drone - Check your HUD location display before battery depletion. Note the coordinates.
2. Travel to the landing site - Navigate to where the drone came down. Bring your controller and repair tools.
3. Assess damage - Look for black smoke and camera distortion. The emergency landing may have caused impact damage.
4. Repair if needed - Use your
wrench to heal any damage before attempting another flight.
5. Recharge the battery - Right-click the grounded drone with a fresh battery item.
Prevention Strategy
- Set a timer - Remember your drone has exactly two minutes of flight time. Plan to land intentionally at the 90-second mark.
- Fly in loops - Design your scouting routes to return you close to your starting position before battery runs out.
- Avoid risky terrain - Never fly over oceans, deep canyons, or lava lakes where emergency landing could destroy your drone completely.
