Set a Default World Type for Your Modpack

Locate Your Config File

Find the Default World Type Mod configuration file in your .minecraft/config folder. The file name typically contains "default" and "world" in its name.

Configure the World Type

Open the config file in a text editor. Look for a setting that specifies the world type value—this is usually a string field where you enter the world type ID.

Enter the exact world type identifier you want as default. For example, if you're using a skyblock mod, you might enter skyblock or the full mod-specific ID like modname-skyblock. Check your world type mod's documentation for the correct identifier.

Save and Test

Save the config file and launch Minecraft. When you create a new world, the world type dropdown should now show your configured type as pre-selected. You won't need to manually change it each time.

Verify It Works

Create a test world to confirm the correct world type is active. If the wrong type appears, double-check the world type ID spelling and format in your config file.
