Set Up Your First Radio Station

Prepare Your Walkie-Talkie

Before you can listen to broadcasts, you need a walkie-talkie in your possession. Keep it in your hand, hotbar, or inventory—the radio will play music as long as it's accessible.

Open the Tuning Menu

Hold your walkie-talkie and press the N key or right-click to open the tuning interface. You'll see a retro-style dial display with a frequency slider.

Find and Tune a Station

Move the slider across the frequency range between 88.0 and 108.0 MHz. As you explore near radio towers, new stations unlock automatically. Once a station is discovered, you can tune back to it anytime. Select an unlocked station from the menu to start listening.

Maintain Signal Strength

Your signal quality depends on proximity to active towers. Stay within 375 blocks of a tower for clear reception. Moving further away introduces static and interference. Weather and obstacles between you and the tower also degrade signal quality, adding realistic audio noise to your experience.
