Set Up Attribute Scaling for Mob Difficulty

Understanding Attribute Modifiers

Data Attributes Mod allows you to apply modifiers to attributes, which scale values based on conditions. This is useful for making mobs progressively harder.

Creating Difficulty-Based Modifiers

Define modifiers in your attribute configuration that apply based on:

  • Difficulty level (peaceful, easy, normal, hard)
  • Custom conditions from other datapacks
  • Mob properties or tags

For instance, you can increase a zombie's damage attribute on hard difficulty, or boost boss health pools when players are well-equipped.

Applying Modifiers to Mobs

Use entity type modifications or loot tables to assign these modifiers when mobs spawn. You can also use commands to dynamically adjust attributes during gameplay.

Test your scaling in different difficulty modes to ensure the progression feels balanced and challenging without being unfair.
