Create Rubberworks FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get started with Create Rubberworks?
Craft a
Sapper block and attach it to a tree log or leaves, then power it with a rotating shaft from your Create setup. The Sapper will extract raw
resin into an adjacent tank, which you can then process into
rubber using a
Compressor.

Sapper?
The
Sapper can pull
resin from oak logs and leaves by default, but you can expand this by writing custom sapping recipes in KubeJS to target other wood types or even extract different liquids from specific blocks.

Sapper need?
The
Sapper requires rotational force from a Create mechanical system like a cogwheel or shaft; the exact speed requirements depend on your modpack configuration, but it will start extracting
resin once powered.

Compressor for things other than rubber?
Yes, the
Compressor can process any liquid into items through custom recipes. You can write your own recipes using KubeJS to compress water, milk, or any other fluid into desired outputs.

Compressor?
Some recipes require heating (you can add `.heated()` to a KubeJS recipe), but default
rubber compression works without heat; check your modpack's configuration to see which recipes need a heat source.

Compressor working?
Make sure the
Compressor is receiving rotational power from a connected shaft on the side, has liquid input from pipes at the back, and has space for output items; also verify the recipe exists in your current configuration.

Compressor?
Use Create's fluid pipes to connect the
Sapper output to a tank, then run pipes from the tank into the back of the
Compressor; the machines will automatically pull and push fluids when powered.

rubber production completely?
Yes, set up a
Sapper pulling
resin from trees into a tank, pipe that resin into a
Compressor, and use item pipes or hoppers to collect the
rubber output; multiple Sappers and Compressors can run in parallel for higher production.

The mod removes dried kelp from normal crafting and requires
rubber instead in affected recipes; your modpack configuration may vary, so check if specific recipes have been changed.

KubeJS recipes require basic code syntax, but the mod provides example formats for sapping and compressing; if coding isn't your strength, look for modpack-provided configuration files or ask in community forums for recipe examples.
