Understanding the Totem Progression
Totem crafting involves three stages: 
Totem Core, 
Incomplete Totem, and 
Awakened Totem. Each stage uses different Create machines and requires specific materials.
Assembly Line Setup
Start by assembling a Totem Core using a Mechanical Assembler or similar crafting station with the required base components. Once you have cores, feed them into the next stage to create Incomplete Totems.
The final step—awakening the totem—typically requires additional processing, possibly involving a Blaze Burner for heat or specialized mechanical components. Set up your assembly line so each stage outputs directly into hoppers feeding the next machine.
Organize your production so materials flow smoothly: raw inputs → core assembly → incomplete totem assembly → awakening station. Use item filters on hoppers to prevent backups. This multi-stage automation teaches you how to chain Create machines together for complex recipes.
