Applying a Metal Skin

Each robot can be cosmetically reskinned to match your base aesthetic or personal preference. Hold an andesite, brass, or copper ingot in your hand and right-click your robot. The ingot will be consumed, and the robot's appearance will change to reflect the new metal coating.

Different metals produce distinct visual effects. Experiment with each material to find the look you prefer. Some robots, like the Anole, have additional special skin options including netherite and oxidized variants.

Applying Oxidized Skins

For the Anole specifically, you can achieve an oxidized copper appearance by applying a wet sponge to it. This creates a unique weathered look distinct from the standard metal skins.

Removing Skins

If you want to change your robot's skin back to its original state or try a different metal, you'll need a wrench. Right-click the robot with the wrench to safely remove the current cosmetic skin. The ingot used to apply the skin is not returned, so plan your customizations accordingly.
