Retrieve Crash Reports and Diagnose Server Issues

Access Log Files via Command

Use the log retrieval command to pull crash reports and server logs directly without accessing the file system. This is faster than navigating to your server folder and useful when you need to diagnose issues remotely or share logs with other admins.

Analyze Crash Patterns

Review crash reports to identify repeating errors—specific chunks, players, or items that consistently cause problems. Look for patterns like crashes occurring in the same location or after certain player actions. This information guides your troubleshooting efforts.

Cross-Reference with Map Data

Combine crash log information with the entity and TileEntity maps to correlate crashes with high-lag areas. If crashes happen in chunks with extreme entity counts or problematic TileEntities, you've found your culprit. Use this data to decide whether to clear entities, remove TileEntities, or investigate player activity.
