Monitor and Reduce Server Lag from Entity Buildup

Identify Problem Areas

Use the entity map feature to visualize where entities are clustering on your server. Press CTRL + U to open the Crash Utilities GUI and access the map view. Areas with high entity counts will appear concentrated, helping you pinpoint lag sources like mob farms, item accumulation zones, or broken spawners.

Clear Excessive Items

Once you've identified problem chunks, use the item clearing command to remove ground items exceeding a threshold you specify. This prevents item entity lag that accumulates when farms or mob grinders malfunction. The command lets you set a maximum item count—anything above that limit gets removed automatically.

Monitor Over Time

Check RAM usage trends through the mod's memory tracking feature to confirm whether your cleanup efforts are reducing server load. Repeated spikes in the same location suggest a persistent problem worth investigating further, such as a player farm running unchecked or a chunk loader keeping problematic areas active.
