How to Change What Your Discord Status Shows While Playing
Editing the Display Lines
CraftPresence lets you control the two main lines Discord shows under your name: the top "details" line and the lower "state" line. Open the config and find the section for these fields. You can type plain text or use placeholders that the mod replaces at runtime, such as the current dimension, the server you joined, or your player name.
Using Placeholders
Placeholders are written as bracketed tokens that CraftPresence substitutes automatically. Common ones cover
things like the world/dimension name, the server address, and the number of players online. Check the placeholder list inside the config screen so you use the exact spelling the mod expects. Mixing fixed text with placeholders gives a readable result, for example a label followed by the live value.
Per-Context Overrides
You can set different text for different situations. CraftPresence supports separate configurations for singleplayer, multiplayer, and even specific servers or dimensions. That means your status can say one thing in the Overworld and another in the Nether, or show a custom message only on a
particular server.
Applying Changes
Save the config after editing. Presence updates live, so you do not need to restart the game. If a change does not appear, re-open the config and confirm the field was saved, since an empty field falls back to the default behavior.
