CraftPresence FAQ
17 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the CraftPresence config menu?
Open the mod list, select CraftPresence, and click the config button to reach its settings screen. You can also bind a key in the controls menu to open the config directly in-game.
How do I use placeholders like server IP or dimension in my status?
Enable the relevant placeholder toggles in the config, then insert the matching placeholder variable into your presence line text. The mod replaces it at runtime with the live value.
Can I have different status text for singleplayer and multiplayer?
Yes, CraftPresence lets you configure separate presence lines for each state, including singleplayer, multiplayer, and the main menu. Set the text per state in the config so each shows its own message.
Why is my status stuck on the main menu text after joining a world?
The presence updates on a timer, so it can lag behind by a few seconds after you join. If it never changes, make sure the per-state text is actually filled in and that the mod is enabled for that state.
How do I reset CraftPresence back to default settings?
Use the reset option in the config screen, or delete the mod's config file and let it regenerate on next launch. This clears any custom text, images, and placeholder toggles you've set.
Is CraftPresence client-side only?
Yes, CraftPresence is a client-side only mod and will not run on the server side. Fabric and Quilt servers simply ignore it, while other mod loaders may crash, so it must not be installed server side.
What placeholders does CraftPresence support?
Placeholders cover the menu you are in, single player worlds, server addresses, current dimension, current biome, in-game time, the item in each hand, your armour state, and entities such as what is attacking you, what you are riding and what you are looking at. The number of loaded mods can also be printed.
Does CraftPresence need Fabric API?

Fabric API and the Fabric mod loader. Some versions for Minecraft 1.13.x require the Rift API and Rift mod loader.
