Connect Chains Between Fence Posts

Basic Chain Connection

Chains link fence blocks, walls, and iron bars together across short distances. To create a chain connection:

1. Hold vanilla chain items in your hand

2. Look at the first fence or wall block

3. Right-click to place the chain

4. Look at a second fence block within seven blocks of the first

5. Right-click again to complete the connection

The chain will stretch between the two blocks, creating a visual line without blocking movement.

Adjusting Chain Position

If your chain doesn't look quite right, you can fine-tune its placement:

• Hold Sneak (default Shift) while placing chains to adjust how the chain connects to the block
• This lets you position chains at different heights or angles on the same fence
• Experiment with different sneak positions to achieve the aesthetic you want

Chains work best when connecting structures that are already aligned, such as fence rows or wall segments.
