Understanding Contest Conditions
Your Pokémon has five contest stats that grow through different activities. Each stat responds to specific actions:
- Cool: Win battles with your Pokémon
- Beauty: Use items on or around your Pokémon
- Cute: Pet your Pokémon regularly using your Pet Interaction keybind
- Smart: Use useful blocks and workstations near your Pokémon (crafting tables, furnaces, etc.)
- Tough: Simply travel with your Pokémon out of its Pokéball
Training Strategy
To level stats efficiently, combine activities. Travel with your partner out to raise Tough while doing other tasks. Pet them frequently during downtime to boost Cute. When mining or building, keep them nearby to gain Smart points. Use the /contest <slot> command to check your current progress for any party member.
Focus on one or two stats at a time rather than spreading effort thin. Heart particles will appear when you're bonding successfully, giving you visual feedback. Track your progress with the Partner Journal to stay motivated toward your goals.
