Feeding Is Now Optional

The short answer is no. With fullness locked at zero, your Pokémon will not suffer any hunger-related downsides, so feeding is purely a choice rather than a requirement. You can leave your team unfed indefinitely and nothing bad happens.

When You Might Still Want to Feed

1. Friendship and evolution — Some Pokémon evolve or gain friendship through feeding. If you are working toward one of those, keep offering the relevant items.

2. Healing items — Certain foods restore HP or cure status conditions. These still work normally and are worth carrying into long battles.

3. Cosmetic or roleplay reasons — If you enjoy the routine of feeding your team, nothing stops you. The mod only removes the penalty, not the action.

What Changes in Practice

Your inventory frees up significantly. You can drop stacks of maintenance food and replace them with Poké Balls, potions, or battle items. Long exploration trips no longer require a feeding schedule, and you can focus your resource gathering on crafting and training instead of keeping a pantry stocked.
