Identify Lock Difficulty Before Opening a Chest
Reading the Floating Lock Symbol
Every locked chest displays a floating lock symbol above it. This symbol's color indicates the difficulty tier of the mini-game you'll face. Before committing to an unlock attempt, take a moment to observe the lock from a distance.
Difficulty Tiers
Locks use a color-coded system:
- Green locks are the easiest challenges, requiring basic timing and accuracy. These are ideal for beginners or when you want a quick, reliable unlock.
- Yellow locks present moderate difficulty with faster reaction requirements.
- Red locks are the hardest challenges, demanding precise timing and additional rule constraints. These guard the best loot but require skill to master.
Planning Your Approach
Higher difficulty locks reward you with significantly more items—nearly double the standard drop rate for perfect scores. However, failing a harder lock means getting fewer items than you would from an easier chest. If you're still learning the mini-game mechanics, start with green locks to build confidence. As you improve, tackle yellow and red locks to maximize your rewards. This lets you balance risk and reward based on your current skill level.
