Finding Wild Chocobos
Chocobos spawn naturally throughout the Overworld in seven different colors: yellow, white, black, red, blue, green, and pink. Explore grassy biomes and plains to locate them. They behave like passive mobs and won't flee from you.
Befriending and Collecting Feathers
1. Obtain Gysahl Seeds from Overworld chests or craft them if available
2.
3. Harvest the mature crop
4. Approach a wild Chocobo and feed it Gysahl Greens by right-clicking with the item in hand
5. Repeat feeding until the bird drops a colored feather matching its plumage
6. Collect the feather—you'll need eight of the same color to craft a whistle
Crafting Your Whistle
Once you have eight feathers of a single color and one stick, place them in your crafting grid according to the whistle recipe. The resulting whistle lets you summon that specific colored Chocobo anywhere, anytime. Keep your whistles in your inventory for quick access during travel.
