Taking Off and Gaining Height

After summoning your Chocobo with a whistle, mount it by right-clicking. Once seated, press the jump button (spacebar by default) repeatedly to make your bird climb higher into the air. Each jump input increases your altitude, allowing you to reach great heights for long-distance travel.

Controlling Descent and Landing

To descend safely, look downward toward the ground while airborne. Your Chocobo will gradually lose altitude as you aim lower. This gives you precise control over where you land. Avoid looking straight down at extreme heights, as you'll descend quickly. Angle your view gently downward for a controlled, safe landing.

Travel Tips

Plan your route before taking off, as you can't change direction mid-flight. Use landmarks to navigate. Practice in safe areas first to get comfortable with the flight mechanics before attempting long journeys over dangerous terrain like lava or deep water.
