How to Refill the Charm Slot After the Totem Is Used

Recognizing the Empty Slot

After a Totem of Undying activates from the charm slot, the slot becomes empty. You will see the revival effects and the totem will be gone. If you do not refill the slot, you will not be protected the next time you take fatal damage.

Refilling Quickly

Open your inventory and locate a spare Totem of Undying. Click it to pick it up, then click the empty charm slot to place it. If you have multiple totems, shift-clicking one from your main inventory will move it into the charm slot automatically. You can also drag a totem from a shulker box or chest into the slot if you are near storage.

Keeping Spares Organized

A good habit is to keep one or two spare totems in a dedicated spot in your inventory, such as the bottom-right corner, so you always know where they are. If you use shulker boxes, keep a box labeled for totems. After a close call, take a moment to refill the charm slot before continuing. The mod does not automatically refill the slot from your inventory, so this step is manual. Treat it like refilling a water bucket or replacing a shield after it breaks.
