How to Move or Remove a Totem from the Charm Slot

Removing the Totem

Open your inventory screen. Click the totem in the charm slot to pick it up, then click an empty space in your main inventory or hotbar to place it there. You can also shift-click the totem in the charm slot to move it directly into your main inventory if there is space. The slot will then be empty and will not protect you until you place another totem.

Moving It to Another Slot

If you want to move the totem from the charm slot to your hand or hotbar, simply pick it up from the charm slot and place it in the desired slot. This is useful if you want to use the totem manually, such as for its brief absorption and regeneration effects, or if you want to store it temporarily.

When to Remove It

You might remove the totem if you are about to do something where you want to keep the totem safe, such as storing it in an ender chest before a risky but planned activity. You might also remove it if you need the charm slot for a different item, though the mod is designed specifically for Totems of Undying. Remember that removing the totem means you lose the passive death protection until you put it back. Always replace it before heading into danger.
