Camol FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get the camo item?
The Camo Item can be obtained from the creative inventory or by crafting it. Check your crafting recipes in-game to see the exact ingredients needed for your version of the mod.
Can I disguise any block?
Yes, you can disguise almost any block to look like any other block in the game. This includes solid blocks, transparent blocks, and even blocks with special properties like torches or campfires.
How do I copy a block texture?
Place your Camo Item and the block you want to copy together in the crafting grid. This creates a new Camo Item that stores that block's texture and is ready to use.
What happens if I disguise a block with redstone on it?
The redstone will still function normally—the disguise only changes how the block looks, not how it works. This is perfect for hiding redstone contraptions behind fake walls or stone blocks.
Can other players see my disguised blocks?
Yes, disguised blocks appear the same way to all players on the server or in multiplayer worlds. Everyone will see the fake texture you applied.
How do I remove a disguise?
Right-click the disguised block while holding any Camo Item in your hand. The block will return to its original appearance.
Can I disguise a chest so people dont see whats inside?
Yes, you can disguise a chest to look like a different block, which hides it from casual view. However, players can still open it if they know where it is or find it by right-clicking.
Do disguised blocks affect performance?
Disguised blocks should have minimal performance impact since they only change the visual texture, not the block's underlying properties or behavior.
Can I use this mod with other mods?
Camol Mod is generally compatible with most other mods, but it works best with mods that don't heavily modify block rendering. Test it with your mod pack to be sure.
What if I disguise a block as air or make it invisible?
You can disguise blocks as transparent or nearly-invisible blocks to create hidden passages or make structures blend into their surroundings. The block itself remains solid and won't let players walk through it.
