Common Causes
If borderless fullscreen does nothing when you toggle it, the usual culprits are a conflicting display mod, a stale video settings file, or the game launching in a mode that overrides the mod. Start by checking that no other fullscreen or window-management mod is installed alongside this one — two mods fighting over the same setting often cancel each other out.
Step-by-Step Fixes
1. This forces the mod to reapply its window state.
2. Switch to windowed mode, resize the window slightly, then re-enter borderless. This resets the stored window dimensions.
3. Restart the game entirely. Some display changes only take effect on a fresh launch.
4. If the screen is black or frozen after toggling, alt-tab to another window, then back. The game usually recovers.
5. As a last resort, reset your video settings to defaults through the options menu, then re-enable borderless.
If It Still Fails
Confirm the mod is actually loaded for your current game instance, and that your graphics driver is not forcing exclusive fullscreen. On laptops, check that the game is not being routed to an integrated GPU that ignores the borderless window.
