The Problem: Dangerous Enemy Traits
As monsters scale up, they gain access to powerful affixes. The Ragnarok trait can seal your items, making them unusable. The Dispell trait strips enchantments from your gear mid-fight, leaving you vulnerable.
Using Protective Gems
Gem of the Unbroken: Socket this gem into your most important gear to prevent the Ragnarok trait from sealing items. This keeps your weapons and armor functional even against high-level enemies using seal effects.
Gem of the Unsilenced: Install this gem to protect your item enchantments from being disabled by Dispell traits. Your enchantment effects will persist even when enemies attempt to strip them.
Gem Installation
Access your gear's gem slots through the appropriate interface (usually right-click or inventory screen). Place one protective gem per item you want to safeguard. Prioritize protecting your primary weapon and chest plate, as losing these mid-combat is most dangerous.
Strategic Preparation
Before fighting significantly scaled monsters, ensure your critical gear has these gems installed. This prevents frustrating fights where your best equipment suddenly becomes useless.
