Fix Halo Position Issues with Head Offset

Understanding Head Anchoring

Halos attach to an entity's head, but positioning can vary depending on the mob model or player skin. If your halo appears misaligned, you can adjust its anchor point using offset parameters.

Configuring Offsets

In the mod's configuration file, the experimentalYsmHeadLocalOffset setting controls three-axis positioning (X, Y, Z). These values shift where the halo center spawns relative to the head:

  • X offset: Moves the halo left or right
  • Y offset: Moves the halo up or down
  • Z offset: Moves the halo forward or backward

Applying Changes

Enable experimentalYsmAnchorEnabled in your config to activate offset support. Adjust the three offset values incrementally until the halo floats exactly where you want it. Test with different entity types, as custom models may require unique offsets. Reload the mod or restart your world to apply config changes.
