How to Troubleshoot Zume Mod Zoom Not Working

Check the Basics First

If pressing Z does nothing, work through these steps in order:

1. Confirm the mod is actually loaded — check your mod list in the game's mod menu.

2. Open Options → Controls and verify the zoom keybind is still assigned to a key. Updates or config resets can clear binds.

3. Test the assigned key in a normal world, not a menu or inventory screen, since zoom only applies in-game.

4. Check whether another mod has claimed the same key. If two mods share a bind, one may override the other — rebind Zume Mod's keys to something unused.

5. Make sure you are not holding a key that blocks input, such as a chat or inventory key.

If Zoom Activates but Looks Wrong

• If the view barely changes, you may already be at the minimum zoom level — press = to increase magnification.
• If the view is too extreme, press - to back off.
• If zoom-in and zoom-out seem swapped, you likely rebound them in reverse; reassign them in the controls menu.

Still Stuck

Reassign all three Zume Mod keys to fresh, unused keys and retest. Most zoom problems trace back to a keybind conflict or an unassigned key rather than the mod itself.
