Understanding Backpack Dyeing

Backpacks can be customized with colors just like leather armor. This is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect storage or function, but lets you personalize your gear and organize multiple backpacks by color.

Dyeing Process

1. Gather dye of your chosen color (any standard Minecraft dye works)

2. Place your backpack and dye together in a crafting grid

3. The backpack will be dyed to match the dye color

4. Remove your newly colored backpack from the crafting result

Organizing Multiple Backpacks

If you carry several backpacks, dyeing them different colors makes it easy to identify which bag contains what at a glance. For example, dye one red for combat supplies, blue for building materials, and green for food and resources.

Removing Dye

To reset a backpack to its original color, use a cauldron filled with water and place the dyed backpack inside. This removes the dye completely, allowing you to apply a new color.
