Locating Your Gravestone

When you die, a gravestone spawns instantly at your death location. The gravestone's appearance changes to match your current biome—a jungle grave looks different from a desert or End grave. Use landmarks or your death coordinates (if you noted them) to navigate back to the spot.

Opening and Collecting Items

Approach the gravestone block and interact with it. Your complete inventory and all experience points are stored safely inside. The gravestone displays a visual tier based on how many items you were carrying when you died—more items mean a more elaborate grave appearance.

If you were carrying enchanted gear, modded equipment like rings or necklaces, or special items, they are all preserved exactly as they were. Simply take what you need from the grave's storage.

Ghost Companion

A restless spirit will be floating near your gravestone. You can tame this ghost to gain a loyal pet that fights alongside you. If you don't want the ghost, you can leave it behind—it won't follow you until tamed.
