Switch Between 3D and 2D Food Visuals
Access the Mod Settings
Open your game and pause to bring up the main menu. Navigate to Options (or Settings), then select Controls. Look for the mod's dedicated settings panel—this is where all eating animation options live.
Toggle Between Visual Styles
In the mod settings screen, find the option labeled for 3D/2D food visuals. You can switch between:
- 3D Mode: Displays custom-modeled food items held in your character's hand with detailed geometry
- 2D Mode: Reverts to Minecraft's classic flat food sprites
Your choice applies immediately—no restart needed. Both modes preserve all hunger and saturation values; this is purely visual.
When to Use Each Style
3D Mode works best if you want immersive eating animations and have a system that handles the extra rendering smoothly. 2D Mode is useful if you prefer minimal visual changes or need better performance on lower-end hardware.
You can swap between them anytime without losing progress or affecting multiplayer compatibility. Other players will see whichever style you've chosen when you eat.
