How to Find and Tame an Allay in YDM's Allay Mod

Locating Allays

Allays spawn naturally in Flower Forest biomes. If you're having trouble finding one, use a spawn egg from the creative inventory or search Flower Forest biomes at any time of day. They are small, blue, glowing mobs that float around passively.

Taming with Cookies

To tame an Allay, hold a cookie and approach it. The Allay will be tempted by the cookie and follow you. Right-click the Allay with the cookie to tame it. Once tamed, the Allay becomes your companion and will follow you around. You can also tempt them with a music disc, jukebox, or noteblock, but cookies are the standard taming item.

After Taming

Once tamed, you can hand the Allay an item by right-clicking it with that item in your hand. The Allay will then search for matching items in a 32-block radius around you. Note that Allays cannot hold or search for items with a max stack size of 1, such as tools or armor. After collecting a full stack, the Allay returns to you to drop off the items. Allays also glow in the dark, making them easy to spot at night or in caves.
