Read the Highlighted Blocks

Once the pack is active, ores appear as bright, distinct colors against the see-through stone. Learn the color for each ore you care about — for example, diamonds, gold, iron, coal, redstone, lapis, and emerald each have their own shade. Because the surrounding stone is transparent, you can spot clusters from a distance instead of digging blindly.

Scan Efficiently

• Stand still and sweep your view across a wide area. Ore veins show up as small colored patches embedded in the transparent rock.
• Mine toward the nearest cluster rather than following a fixed branch pattern. The pack turns mining into a targeting exercise.
• Go deeper for rarer ores. Diamond and redstone concentrate near the bottom of the world, so descend before you start scanning.
• Watch for caves and ravines, which expose ores you can reach without digging.

Avoid Wasting Time

If a highlighted block is surrounded by other transparent blocks and you cannot reach it quickly, mark the coordinates and come back later. Do not tunnel straight up or down without checking for lava or water above and below, since the pack does not warn you about hazards. Keep a bucket and blocks handy to bridge gaps. Remember that on servers this pack is usually against the rules, so use it only in singleplayer or where explicitly allowed.
