Prepare Before Meeting Aliens

Xenomorphs spawn in multiple growth stages, starting as hidden eggs that hatch into Facehuggers. Avoid these parasites—they can infect you or nearby mobs, leading to dangerous Chestbursters. Once aliens mature, you'll face specialized castes: agile Runners, acid-shooting Spitters, explosive Boilers, and heavily armored Crushers.

Aliens don't fight alone. Hives coordinate attacks with designated leaders, making nests increasingly dangerous as they expand. They spread organic resin across territory to secure their domain.

Gear Up with Chitin Armor

Defeat aliens to harvest chitin and craft protective armor sets. Standard chitin provides basic defense, while plated variants offer superior durability. Environmental strains (Nether, Aberrant, Irradiated) drop specialized chitin for matching armor tiers.

Collect Royal Jelly from nests to accelerate alien growth, or use Poison Jelly to halt it entirely. Understanding these resources helps you control the threat level in your world.
