Craft a Wooden Hopper

Gathering materials

You need:

• 5 Planks (any type of wooden planks)
• 1 Wooden Chest

Crafting steps

1. Obtain a wooden chest by mining one or crafting it from planks.

2. Collect 5 planks from any wood type in your world.

3. Open your crafting table.

4. Place the chest in the center of the crafting grid.

5. Arrange the 5 planks around it (the exact pattern follows the standard hopper shape).

6. Craft the Wooden Hopper.

Recipe unlock

Once you collect a wooden chest, the Wooden Hopper recipe automatically unlocks in your recipe book. You can then search for it or view it in the crafting menu for a quick reference on placement.

Next steps

After crafting, place your Wooden Hopper above a container to start using it. It will begin pulling items from above and pushing them downward into the container below.
