Understanding cooldown

The woodenHopperCooldown config controls how many ticks pass between each item transfer. The default is 16 ticks (half the speed of a vanilla hopper at 8 ticks). You can adjust this to match your farm's output rate.

How to change it

1. Locate your mod config file in the config folder.

2. Find the woodenHopperCooldown option.

3. Set a new value:

• Lower numbers = faster transfers (8 ticks matches vanilla hoppers)
• Higher numbers = slower transfers (32+ ticks for very slow processing)

4. Save and reload your world.

Practical examples

• Use the default 16 ticks for general storage and sorting.
• Increase to 32+ ticks if your farm produces items faster than you can process them, preventing overflow.
• Decrease to 8 ticks if you need faster throughput but still want the single-slot limitation.
• Test different values to find the sweet spot for your setup.
