Use a Wooden Bucket for Lava (One-Time Only)

Important: Lava Destroys Wooden Buckets

Unlike iron buckets, wooden buckets cannot be reused after collecting lava. A single lava collection will destroy the bucket permanently. Use this feature strategically.

When to Use for Lava

  • Emergency situations: If you need lava for a one-time purpose (lighting a furnace, creating obsidian, etc.) and have no iron bucket
  • Planned disposal: Accept that the bucket will be consumed as part of your plan
  • Last resort: Only use wooden buckets for lava if you cannot spare an iron bucket

Better Alternatives

If possible, save your wooden buckets for water collection and farming. Reserve lava collection for iron buckets, which are reusable. Since wooden buckets are meant for early-game survival, prioritize water-based tasks where their durability can be stretched across multiple uses.
