Getting Your First Phoenix Mount

Find a petrified phoenix egg by exploring structures—each of the six phoenix types spawns in different locations, from Woodland Mansions to Ancient Cities. Once you have an egg, craft an Inferno Cradle block and place the egg inside to warm it over 15 minutes. After warming, combine the egg with a Tempered Lantern in your crafting grid to bind it. Hold the lantern and right-click to summon your phoenix and mount it immediately. Remember: your phoenix vanishes the moment you dismount, so always land near the ground to avoid fall damage. You can reuse the same lantern to summon your phoenix repeatedly.
