Using Skunks to Defend Your Base

How Skunk Defense Works

Tamed skunks automatically defend their owner by spraying at hostile mobs that attack you or get too close. This spray is effective against most creatures, though undead mobs (like zombies and skeletons) are immune to the deterrent effect. The more skunks you have, the better your defensive coverage.

Setting Up Perimeter Defense

Position multiple tamed skunks around your base entrance or in key defensive areas. They'll naturally patrol and engage threats without requiring commands. Unlike other pets, skunks actively scare away non-undead mobs, making them excellent for crowd control during night raids.

Limitations and Strategy

Remember that skunks won't help against undead mobs, so combine them with other defenses like walls or iron golems for complete protection. Keep your skunks well-fed and healthy by staying nearby—they're most effective when actively following you or stationed close to your location.
