How to Tame Your First Skunk

Finding Skunks

Skunks spawn naturally in certain biomes throughout your world. Explore grassy and forest areas to locate them. They're relatively small creatures, so keep an eye out for their distinctive black and white coloring.

Taming Process

Once you've found a skunk, you'll need to gather the right items. Equip either sweet berries or carrots in your hand, then approach the skunk slowly to avoid startling it. Right-click on the skunk repeatedly with your food item until it becomes tamed—you'll notice a visual indicator (typically a collar or similar marking) confirming the skunk now belongs to you.

After Taming

Your new companion will now follow you around and help protect you from hostile mobs. Keep some carrots or sweet berries on hand to breed multiple skunks or reward your pet. Tamed skunks won't wander far from you and will actively defend against threats, making them valuable allies for exploration and survival.
