How to Explore and Discover All Mob Species

Biome-Specific Spawning

Each biome hosts different mob species. The Overworld contains realistic wildlife like bears, crocodiles, and monkeys in appropriate habitats. The Nether features hostile creatures adapted to that dimension, while the End has its own unique fauna. Travel across all three dimensions to see the full bestiary.

Systematic Exploration

Visit diverse biome types: forests, plains, deserts, jungles, oceans, and mountains. Each environment spawns different creatures. Keep a checklist or use the mod's bestiary feature (if available) to track which mobs you've encountered.

Rare and Variant Mobs

Some creatures have rare color variants or special types that spawn less frequently. Search thoroughly and return to biomes at different times or conditions to find these uncommon specimens. Night-time, specific weather, or rare biome combinations may increase spawn rates for certain mobs.

Ocean Exploration

Don't neglect aquatic biomes. Oceans contain massive creatures and unique water-dwelling animals. Bring a boat or use water breathing gear to safely explore underwater and discover deep-sea fauna.
