Decorating Habitats with Wild Plants and Fungi

Understand the 11 Plant and Fungi Species

The mod includes 11 unique plant and fungi blocks designed to complement natural landscapes. These aren't standard Minecraft vegetation—they're custom blocks that add visual authenticity to biome-specific enclosures.

Match Plants to Biome Types

Select plant and fungi species that correspond to your enclosure's biome. Tropical habitats use different flora than temperate forests or wetlands. Layering multiple plant types creates a more realistic and visually interesting environment.

Create Natural Vegetation Patterns

Avoid placing plants in uniform grids. Cluster similar species together, vary heights and densities, and leave some open ground. This mimics how vegetation naturally grows and gives animals space to move and forage.

Layer for Visual Depth

Combine tall plants with ground-level fungi and smaller vegetation. Place plants around water features, along enclosure edges, and in clearings. Use the mod's flora to define different zones within larger enclosures, guiding both animal movement and visitor sightlines in your zoo design.
