Capturing and Transporting Wild Animals

Using Creature Cages

Cages are the safest way to transport multiple animals or those you want to keep contained during travel.

1. Craft or obtain a creature cage

2. Approach a wild animal and right-click it with the cage

3. The animal is now safely stored inside

4. Carry the cage to your enclosure and place it down

5. Right-click the cage to release the animal into its new home

Shoulder Carrying

For quick, hands-free transport of a single animal:

1. Approach a wild creature

2. Hold Shift and right-click the animal

3. It will climb onto your shoulder

4. Walk to your destination—the animal stays with you

5. Shift and right-click again to place it down

Tips for Capture

• Smaller animals are easier to catch when they're calm
• Approach slowly to avoid startling creatures
• Cages preserve animal health during long journeys
• Shoulder carrying is faster for nearby enclosures but limits your inventory
• Always have an empty hand or cage ready before attempting capture
