Installing Cannons

Cannons are found in sunken ships and buried treasure chests scattered across the ocean floor. Once you have a cannon, place it on your ship's deck or sides. Position it to face outward so you have a clear firing line.

Firing Your Cannons

To fire a cannon, you'll need gunpowder—gather this from creepers or find it in loot chests. While riding your Hullback and steering from the Helm, press your jump button to fire any cannons attached to your ship. Each shot consumes gunpowder, so stock up before engaging in combat or target practice.

Tactical Positioning

Arrange multiple cannons along different sides of your ship for better coverage. Test your cannons in open water away from your base to understand their range and accuracy. Remember that you need to be actively riding and steering to fire—dismounting will disable cannon use.

Ammunition Management

Keep gunpowder in your ship's inventory (accessible by pressing your inventory key while riding) so you always have ammunition ready for extended voyages.
