Upgrading with Wooden Planks

Once your Hullback is saddled, you can transform it into a functional ship by placing wooden planks on its body. Build up the deck area to create a platform where you can stand and steer. You'll need a significant number of planks to create a proper ship structure, so gather resources before starting.

Installing the Helm

Craft a Helm item—this is essential for steering your ship across the water. Place it on your deck where you can easily access it while riding. The Helm acts as your ship's wheel and control center.

Adding Sails and Decorations

Search sunken ships and buried treasure for special widgets including sails and cannons. Attach sails to your ship's frame to give it an authentic pirate appearance. You can customize sails further by attaching banners to them—simply place banners on the sail blocks. To change your design, wash off banners with a water bucket.

Stacking Barnacle Blocks

Stack barnacle blocks up to nine blocks high on your ship to create unique custom sounds that play as you sail.
