The Longbow offers extended range and power but requires longer draw time—use it for distant targets where you have time to aim. The Chain Crossbow loads four arrows simultaneously and fires them in rapid bursts, making it ideal for close-to-mid range combat and applying status effects quickly.

Arrow Selection

Standard arrows work with both weapons for reliable damage. Heavy Arrows deal more base damage but travel shorter distances, making them better for the Chain Crossbow's close-range burst fire. Dynamite Arrows explode on impact and only work with crossbows—they're powerful but damage the crossbow more, so use them strategically against tough enemies or groups.

Tactical Tips

Pair the Longbow with the Freeze enchantment for kiting: apply Frostbite from distance to slow approaching mobs. Use the Chain Crossbow with Heavy Arrows for burst damage in confined spaces like caves. Save Dynamite Arrows for boss fights or when you can afford crossbow durability loss.
